Why do you sell your audiobooks direct?

It is becoming commonplace for authors to have their own stores. We don't have to rely upon the Big Retailers and their whims, and we have more freedom. In addition, Big Retailers take so much profit from each eBook, print book, and audiobook sale, it leaves little royalty left for the author. Audiobook production is a huge expense, and every dime helps to recoup costs. Selling direct, I keep all my profit (other than credit card fees). I can also easily offer discounts to my listeners & readers that a retailer can't or makes difficult. Win win!

Are your audiobooks available at regular retailers?

Absolutely. I understant not everyone likes to buy outside their comfort zones, so I make my audiobooks available at the Big Retailers. Click on a retailer button below each audiobook to buy from your favorite store.

How will my audiobooks be delivered?

After you buy and register for the audio program, you will be instructed to download the Soundwise mobile app from either the Apple or Google store. When you sign in on the app, the audiobook you registered for will automatically load in your library.

How do I listen to my audiobook?

See question above. Either on the Soundwise app or offline (next question). You can also stream the tracks on your phone, tablet, or PC from the Soundwise audiobook webpage.

Can I listen offline?

Yes. Tap the download icon next to an audio track, and the track will download to your phone. Simply download the audios when you have Wi-Fi and you can listen to them anywhere you go.

What should I do if I have technical issues?

What payment methods do you accept?

My Soundwise store uses Stripe, a leader in payment processing. They accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, etc.), digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay), bank transfers, and ACH Direct Debit. They also support buy now, pay later options, and some specific countries may have additional options like PayPal and Klarna.

Is buying from your store safe?

Absolutely. When you buy from my Soundwise store, you'll leave my website and process your payment thru Soundwise. Soundwise offers a secure platform for delivering audio content, including features like secure checkout processes. The platform also prioritizes user data protection and uses recognized online secure payment systems (Stripe).

What is your refund policy?

Refunds do not apply to digital goods, i.e., eBooks and audiobooks. These are instant downloads.

For audiobooks, there is a Soundcloud sample. Please listen to it first to see if you like it.

Please choose and buy carefully. Refunds are only given if you buy a duplicate item within 48 hours of first purchase in which case the duplicate item will be refunded.

For refund queries, please email erin@erinrichards.com within 48 hours of receiving your digital product (according to the tracking). Please use the subject "returns" and include your name, order number, and screenshot of duplicate item.
